Design Your Own Project
This is a Mixed Media Art project. Mixed Media is art that is created from many different types of materials. The Materials I used in this project were Acrylic Paint, Gel Pens, Colored Pencils, Glue and Paper, and Crayon. I created this art because I enjoy doing physical art rather than digital art. But I also wanted to try something new for a class project. I chose the birds eye beach view because I find it more visually appealing when objects are from different views.

Logo Project
For this project one of the first task we did was sketch out our ideas on paper. From there we refined out logo and did one large image of it on a final piece of paper. We had to ensure that the final piece of paper was clean, meaning no eraser marks, smears, or ink blobs. The reason for this is because of next step was to scan that paper so we could trace it onto a illustrator document. We could then edit it on the document and refine it once more. Once we were done with refinements it would be exported as an image and then placed on a photoshop document where we could photo shop it onto merchandise.
Truth of Happiness Project

For the stop motion that includes the wooden figure was 245 images. Each image had to have small adjustments to make it dance more smoothly. For this project in digital art we learned the basics of film making and the composition rules.

Project Reflection In Humanities we are studying the idea of happiness. We used and example of a seemingly Utopia that was truly a Dystopia to help us find the meaning of what happiness is. The book we read was Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
For this project I chose to represent a Dystopia. In this Dystopia exploring, change, and new things are feared. Their reasoning is there is no need for change or new things when we have everything we already need. So the "Outside World" is hidden from the people. But as you can see there is a hand reaching out for something new (the flower) and exploring. As the colorless hand reaches out color slowly begins to cover the hand. So the "Outside World" isn't truly as bad as it seems. But since the culture of the world has sheltered the people and told them to fear new things. This is the complete opposite from the book Brave New World that we read in humanities. In the book they did not want people to be attracted to old things so they only would show them new things. The program I used was photo shop. I copied and pasted the flower and hand from images of the internet. The light blue background came form the internet as well. Then I used a soft light layer to color the pinkness on the finger tips. |
TEACHER CREATURE
Project Reflection: At the beginning of the semester I wouldn't have even known how to open and image onto Photoshop let alone even know what tools to use for what. But after doing this project I can easily use multiple tools. I didn't have enough time to finish this project but it did turn out close to what I had imagined in my mind before I began.

Name Project
Name project in Digital arts.
From the TED talk I personally learned that there are many different ways of seeing the world around. Most were simple and should be used in everyday life.
During this project my first steps were to go outside on the Animas campus and search for objects that looked as though they could be words. Then to photograph them. Next was to download the images to PS. Refine they edges, and make them the same size on a blank background. Then to make each letter a different layer and place them in a certain way to create my name. My last step was to add a black and white filter.
From this project I learned objects in this world could be seen from different perspectives and used in many different ways. I also learned how to refine and edge, use filters, and apply images to the same document.
If I were to do this project again I would do it differently by using more filters so the colors would pop more instead of being just black and white images.
